Tyler Lewis
A really great 45 minute beginners/intermediate Pilates workout that focused on core strength and injury prevention. The class was well planned out, well cued and modifications were provided for all levels. The pacing was great, it felt powerful yet measured.

Rachel Hughes
This amazing new studio has a lovely calming and community feel to it! The instructors are so knowledgeable and were particularly helpful when I had a recent 121 following knee surgery. The session massively helped support my knee rehab and I will definitely be back! Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout done on a piece of equipment called a reformer (it looks a bit intimidating, but it’s actually very clever). It uses springs for resistance to help build strength, improve mobility, and support your body as you move, rather than fighting against it.
Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. In fact, lots of people start here with zero Pilates experience. Our Reformer classes are designed to explain everything clearly, at a sensible pace, with no pressure to “keep up” or know what you’re doing already.
What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
Stronger muscles, better posture, improved flexibility, and fewer everyday aches and pains, all without high-impact jumping around. Most people also leave feeling taller, calmer, and quietly impressed with themselves.
What should I wear to a class?
Anything comfortable that you can move in. Think leggings, shorts, or gym wear, nothing fancy required. Grip socks are mandatory for safety (and staying put), but no one’s judging your outfit choices.
How long is a typical class?
Classes are 50 minutes long, enough time to feel the benefits, but short enough to fit into real life (and still make it home for dinner).
How often should I do Reformer Pilates?
Once or twice a week is a great place to start. Some people come more often once they realise how good it makes them feel, but there’s no “correct” amount. Consistency is key
Is reformer Pilates suitable for people with injuries?
Often, yes. Reformer Pilates is low-impact and highly adaptable. Just let us know about any injuries or conditions before class or contact Henleaze Physio Clinic, and we’ll help you work safely. If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to chat first.
How do I book a class?
You can book online quickly and easily through our timetable. A few clicks, no phone calls, no awkward conversations, job done.
What do I do if I have an injury?
If you are carrying an injury, please inform the instructor at the start of the class so they can adapt exercises where appropriate or contact Henleaze Physio Clinic. There is no need to contact us in advance in most cases, letting the instructor know on arrival helps keep things simple. If you are unsure whether a class is suitable, we recommend booking a physio appointment or a 1-to-1 reformer class for more personalised guidance before attending a group class.
Is reformer Pilates good for men?
Yes. Reformer Pilates is excellent for men looking to improve strength, mobility, flexibility and overall movement quality. We have our own men’s only class ‘Brolates’.
What age do I need to be to take part?
The minimum age is 16. There is no maximum age limit. All classes are adapted to suit individual needs, abilities, and any physical considerations, making Reformer Pilates suitable for adults of all ages.
